Infertility: Beautifully & Wonderfully Made
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard and read the scripture in Psalm 139:13-14 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” For a woman who struggles with insecurities from past hurts to struggling with infertility, I can honestly say that I had a hard time believing that I could be “wonderfully made”. I’m not sure if you can relate but the idea that I was made in a way that my body doesn’t do what most women’s bodies do on its own, made it hard to truly trust in what the…

Toffee Cookies
Post Contains Affiliate Links | Disclaimer Policy Here Ok friends! Just a warning.. these cookies are sooo dangerously addictive! Let’s be real, I’m sitting here eating them right now as I’m writing this up! I have to be so careful and make sure I send at least half of the pan with Jacob to work or at least give some to my friends. If I don’t, I could literally sit and eat a whole pan by myself! To be honest, I don’t even know why we call them Toffee Cookies. They aren’t real toffee. Maybe it’s the flavor, I have no clue! But I do know that these are a…

Tips & Ideas For Dressing Your Postpartum Body
Post Contains Affiliate Links | Disclaimer Policy Here After I had my second little guy, it was extremely hard to lose the baby weight. To be honest, I’m 14 months postpartum and I’m still not where I’d like to be, but I want to share the 2 main things that have helped me to love my body where I’m at. The first is, Positive talk!! I continually remind myself that my body grew 2 tiny humans for a little less than a year each. Not only that, my body nourished and sustained those tiny little humans for 9-12 months more! One thing I say to myself over and over when…

Infertility: The Hurtful Things People Say
Well intentioned or not, I have found that there are some pretty hurtful things that have been said throughout our infertility journey. I really wanted to write a post mostly to bring awareness to those who know someone who is, for lack of a better word, struggling through infertility, so that we can change our language to better uplift those in our lives who so desperately want to grow their family. Three of the most hurtful things that have been and are still said throughout our journey is, “You just need to stop stressing and then it will happen” the second is, “It will happen, you just need to be…

Why I started a Lifestyle Blog
Hi friend!! My name is Leti and I can’t express how happy I am that you’re taking time out of your day to get to know me! I have gone back and forth about whether to do this or not, but that small whispering voice inside my head began to get louder and louder. So here I am. My husband of 6 years has been telling me of this vision and dream that he’s had for me since he heard my story. The past 2 years he has been bringing it up more and more, especially as I work through the first 19 years of my life. He told me,…

Setting Boundaries in a Toxic Relationship
More often than not, boundaries are and can be looked at as a negative thing, but in reality they are set up as a way to protect, keep safe, or distinguish ownership. Think about a fence. A fence is put up to draw a line between properties, to keep people from coming to your side, and to keep the people inside the fence safe. Just like boundaries, the fence isn’t bad, it’s actually good! Boundaries aren’t meant for others but rather, they are meant to protect the ones who set up the boundaries in the first place. The problem isn’t the boundaries, the problem is when others see our boundaries,…

Cowboy Caviar
Hey friends!!! Today I am sharing one of mine and Jacob’s favorite recipes, Cowboy Caviar! I’m actually munching on some right now as I write this! It’s super simple and delicious! You can make it for parties, store it in the fridge and snack on it throughout the week, or make it as a meal. Whichever you decide, it’s sure to be a hit! Over the years I’ve tried making different variations of this recipe but we never really loved it. I mean it was obviously good enough for us to make it again, but every time I would make it, it just never really hit the spot, if ya…

Silenced No More: Opening Up About Abuse
Where do I even begin? This is probably the hardest thing I have ever sat down to write. I wrote these words down years ago and am just now mustering up the courage to type them up and send them out into the world with the hopes of healing, being my true authentic self, bringing hope and courage to those who’ve suffered the same as I have, and finally allowing myself to believe that my story and my voice deserve to be heard! With that being said, if you have any part in this story and do not want to hear the whole truth, than I kindly ask you to…

A Mama Battling Infertility During COVID-19
It feels so weird saying that I’m a mom and I’m battling infertility, but that’s the reality of it. I did not easily come by the name “Mama”, although I wish that could be the case. My husband, Jacob, and I fought hard to get pregnant with our first. With our second, we were on our way to start the treatments again, chose to hold off due to the cost, then surprisingly got pregnant on minimal intervention! This third time around has proven to be more difficult. It almost feels like the first time. The biggest difference being that I already bear the title Mama to two littles. I always…
